Dear Middle School Parent,
Thank you for your interest in the Capital City Rowing Middle School's Winter Erg and Spring Competitive Program.   

Our Spring Competitive Program will start Monday, January 30, 2017. The cost will be $500 for the entire program, payable in two installments of $250 due February 1st and March 1st. The middle school program will participate in the North Florida Championship Regatta in Jacksonville, FL on March 31st.  The program will finish at Florida Sprints League Regatta, April 7th-8th at the Tampa Bypass Canal.

Our five day per week program begins Monday, January 30 at 4:30-6:15 and runs through April 1st.

The Middle School Spring Competitive program: Rowers must have attended either the Fall Learn to Row program or the Winter Erg to attend MSC starts Monday, January 30th.


o    MS girls/boys  Mondays, Tuesdays,  Wednesdays, and Thursdays  at Maclay's Lake Hall.

§  Practice Time: 4:30 - 6:15pm

o    MS girls/ boys  Fridays  at Forest Meadows at our indoor rowing facility.

§  Practice Time: 4:30 - 6:16pm


Included in this packet are the forms needed to register online for the program.  Please use the list below as a checklist to ensure all forms are completed and turned in online.

·         CCR Rower/Parent Information Form 

·         FHSAA Preparticipation Physical Evaluation Form (must be signed by doctor)

·         Waivers – 4 waivers in this section – please complete all.

o    US Rowing Regatta Photo Release

o    Florida Waiver (commercial)

o    Florida Waiver (non-commercial)

o    CCR Media/Photo Release

·         Guidelines for use of Facilities at Maclay Gardens Form  

·         Regatta Participation Travel & Medical Release Form (2 pages)

·         $135 Payment to cover the CCR Middle School's Winter Erg.

FALL: LEARN-TO-ROW PROGRAMS (LTR): Introduces middle school students to rowing through a program geared towards development of rowing and social skills development. Include age-appropriate competition, drills, and workouts.

WINTER: ERG TRAINING: Introduces middle school students to rowing land training through a program geared towards development of strength, endurance, proper land rowing technique, injury prevention and social skills development. Includes age-appropriate competition, drills, and workouts. 

SPRING: COMPETITIVE PROGRAM: Intended for those middle school students who have successfully completed the CCR Learn to Row Program and who wish to take their rowing experience to the next level.
